Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya

Hiya lovelies!
Today's review is on Juicy Papaya, one of the newer shades in the Lip Butter range. As you can see from the photos, the colour is more intense when swatched on the hand.

Juicy Papaya is a melon colour which when applied gives a sheer tint and a lip balm-sheen. The wear time
with this particular shade is less than an hour, and it fades especially quickly throughout eating and drinking. This is so easy to apply, as I've found with all Lip Butters I've tried. It's hard to mess up with this as the colour is barely there. This may differ depending on the actual colour of your natural lips. It feels lightweight and moisturising on the lips. I love adding new shades to my Lip Butter collection, and I was happy with this addition. It's quick and simple to use, and is a lovely colour for Spring. Think a lazy day at the beach or park. Fab! This usually retails for about £7.99 but you can get it on the Superdrug website now for £5.99.

- Feels lightweight
- Easy application
- Great for on the go

- Short wear time

Glossybox April 2013

Hiya loves!
I'm really mad at myself for not posting for a few days, but I just haven't found the time to get round to doing this post. I realise I may be a little late on the bandwagon but I wanted to share just how fabulous I thought April's Glossybox was. Subscribing to Glossybox is a great way for you to discover new and exciting brands, like I have done this month. I definitely got my money's worth with this peach!
Keep reading to see what was inside...

Nip & Fab
Pistachio Sundae Dry Fix Body Butter 50ml
Full-size: £9.95 / 200ml
I honestly don't use lotions/body moisturisers that often, which is down to sheer laziness on my part. I will definitely enjoy using this though as the smell is amazing. I'm not the biggest fan of nutty scents but there is something different about this. I can't describe it - you'll just have to try it out for yourself!

Blush in Flamingo 8g
Full-size: £4.49 / 8g
Oh my holy amazeballs, I cannot get over this colour. It's so bright and beautiful!

Yves Rocher
So Elixir Purple Eau De Parfum 5ml
Full-size: £44 / 50ml
I'm always pretty 'meh' about perfume samples. I will say that this is a good size though, and it smells quite nice. It's not something I would usually go for, but I would finish this sample off. I like how the perfume itself is purple too.

Nail Polish in Flawless 13.5ml
Full-size: £7.99 / 13.5ml
You really cannot beat an Essie polish! I'm so impressed that this was in the box. This is a great girly colour for Spring (if it ever gets here!). I just have to stop biting my nails so I can actually use it.

Intense Repair Lip Balm 15ml
Full-size: £7.95 / 15ml
My poor lips are forever dry, so another lip balm for my collection is awesome. I'm a bit of a lip balm fiend.

What did you get in your Glossybox this month?

Birchbox April 2013

Hello lovelies!
April's Birchbox arrived on Monday, so here's my monthly post showing you the goodies inside. The theme this time is In Bloom. I'm off work today as my daughter was sick last night. Thankfully she hasn't been sick any more today, so I'm hoping it might have been something she ate rather than an actual bug or virus. I need to do a full day in work tomorrow though, and then a couple of hours on Friday aswell. I'll try and write some more posts up later so that I have something scheduled for you all on Thursday and Friday. :)

Keep reading if you want to see what was in the box...

La Société Parisienne De Savons
Full-size: £8.50

Skin Food
Full-size: £8.95

Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser
Full-size: £8.95

Birchbox (Lifestyle Extra)
Paname Paris Mirror
Full-size: £7.50

Gerda Spillman
Renaissance Age Serum
Full-size: £69

Glossy Kiss in 14 Perfect Kiss
Full-size: £17.50

I wasn't as impressed with this month's box due to the product selection. I don't like to change up my skincare routine if there's no reason to, so honestly, I will probably only use the lip product, mirror and the soap. Everything else will just lie in my samples box. Oh well.

Let me know what you thought of April's box in the comments.

Influences of the Internet TAG

I was tagged to do this post by Laura of The Beau Bow recently, and thought it would be something fun and different for you guys to read. I will tagging a few of my favourite bloggers below so keep your eyes peeled. Sorry if you have already done this before! First off, here's the rules:

1) You must state this tag was created by Megan at TheBeautyPier.
2) You must tag at least one person to do this. However, the more the merrier!
3) Let the person know you tagged them with a comment on their blog.
4)Title this post 'Influences of the Internet TAG!'
5) Enjoy!

The Questions...

1. Did other blogs convince you to start up your own?
Not one in particular anyway. The first beauty blog I really looked at religiously was Temptalia (I still peruse sometimes). I still can't imagine a better job than testing out beauty products. Oh, how I would love that. I wanted to do YouTube firstly, but I feel that right now my self-confidence isn't the greatest for that type of environment. I would love to start adding to my channel when it feels right in the future. I figured the next best thing would be blogging, and now I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. Have you joined a site because someone else in the blogosphere did?
Sure. I've seen social networking beauty sites like Baobella and She Said Beauty being talked about by others, which has led me to check them out and join.

3. Is there a tip/regime you've gotten from the internet that you now use?
CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES! Years ago, in my early teens (I can't believe I'm about to say this), I never washed my brushes. Now, I honestly cannot think of anything worse. I clean my brushes after each use with a quick-drying cleaner and do a deep clean every now and again.

4. If your favourite YouTube/Blogger personality likes a product, will that make you buy it?
It won't make me buy it necessarily, but it would certainly make me lust after it and want to try it. I am very much tempted by hype.

5. What do you look for in a blog that makes you want to follow?
A nice, uncluttered layout, good personality and quality content.

6. Have you ever been decieved by a product that you ordered online? (e.g you thought it would be pink but it was coral)
Surprisingly enough, I haven't!

7. Have promo pictures and press releases given you the impression that a product will be better than it is?
Yes. I think everything always looks better in an advert/promo. The only ones that don't fool me are mascaras, because the models are clearly wearing fake eyelashes 99.9% of the time.

8. Is there a product you could give a 'cult' status for being so good that you discovered through the internet?
The Real Techniques buffing brush. It's just my precious baby. It applies foundation like a dream, and is a daily-use tool for me.

9. Is there a product you have tried and hated, but others have loved?
There will always be products that you dislike and others love. So probably everything I have disliked, someone will love. I can't think of any specific examples though. I tried Benefit's Fake Up recently, and on first use was not impressed because it gave me reverse dark circles. I definitely need to experiment more though and hopefully find a way for it to work for me! I like to give products a chance.

10. Is there a Blogger/YouTuber that influences your fashion style? If so, who?
Nope. I don't really follow fashion trends. If I like something, then I'll wear it, whether it's from 5 years ago or not.

11. Is there a Blogger/Youtuber that influences your attitude each day/lifestyle?
Again, no. Sorry my answers for these kind of questions aren't that interesting!

12. How much time do you spend on the internet daily?
It all depends on what I'm doing. I might be out or at work, etc. I'll say a few hours per day at least, including on my phone.

I TAG...

...and also everyone else who reads this aswell. :)
Leave me your links in the comments if you do this!
Have a great day!

MUA x Love Hearts Lip Balm in Sugar Lips

Hiya lovelies!
I hope you've all had a great weekend. I'm going out for dinner later with my daughter and my friend, then I need to do some housework and ironing for tomorrow. On top of that, I'm planning on writing another blog post. My Sunday is not going to be as lazy as I'd like! Do you have any plans for today?

Today's review is on the MUA x Love Hearts Lip Balm in Sugar Lips. It contains 10g of product of £2.00, which is a great bargain in my eyes!

The product inside is a medium pink-coloured balm with a creamy consistency. It feels nice and comfortable on the lips. However, if you overloaded this onto your lips, it might feel a bit gross. There is no need to apply loads though. This does not prevent or alleviate dry/chapped lips, but while worn it does feel moisturising. The packaging is perfect for the collaboration with Love Hearts (a type of sweetie, if you don't know!), as the lid looks just like one. There are another four in the collection: Great Lips, Sweet Kiss, Kiss Me & Hot Lips. The scent is subtly sweet, and does smell a bit like an actual Love Heart at times. I've really liked using this, and I'm planning on adding another few of these to my collection.

Do you own any of these? Which one is your fave?

Lush The Hair Doctor Hair Treatment

Hiya lovelies!
I hope you all had fabulous weekend. Mines was really special as I got my Nirvana tattoo yesterday, and I could not be happier. I can't stop looking at it and talking about it. :) If you want to see photos I've taken of it, check out my Instagram. Let me know in the comments if you have any body mods! Anyway, the most important reason for you reading all of this is to see what I thought of Lush's Hair Doctor Hair Treatment. I got mines a month or so back for £6.75 from www.lush.co.uk. It contains 95g of product but it's difficult to say how many applications one could get out of it. That all depends on how much you use per application, your hair length, etc.

The product inside is a thick, muddy-looking hair treatment which Lush says improves shine, absorbs grease, deep cleans and stimulates the blood flow (when applied to the scalp, of course). I applied about a quarter of the pot to my hair and twisted it up into a bun to let it do it's thing. The peppermint felt wonderfully tingly and cooling on the scalp. Smell-wise, all I could pick up was peppermint and earthy-ness, which I liked. I left it for 20 minutes before hopping into the shower to do my normal shampooing & conditioning. After use, my hair definitely felt softer and more manageable. It was silky to the touch, and is a bit shinier than normal but nothing major. I will continue to use this until it's finished, as it is an enjoyable experience. However, I'm not sure if this will be a definite repurchase for me or not. I'm a bit torn! It's good to treat your hair to something special every once in a while, but I'm looking for something that will give my hair lasting results.

Have you used this? Let me know your thoughts!
