MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation

MUA has a new line called Undress Your Skin so I bought two of the products from it to review for you all. Today's review is on the Illuminating Foundation, currently priced at £3. You can get it here. This price is an introductory offer, giving you a saving of £2, so grab it while you can. This foundation comes in 3 shades: Porcelain, Beige and Golden. Albeit not a large choice of shades, the Porcelain shade did match my skin tone just fine.

The foundation gives you light/light-medium coverage, so my blemishes and imperfections needed something extra. The description on the MUA website claims that it does cover such things - perhaps this is the case for very slight problem areas. I honestly wouldn't say this product made my skin particularly illuminated, but I still found it wearable. It's something I would be happy to wear on a day to day basis. It didn't make my dry areas drier, which is lovely. The packaging is simple but still pretty. As the day went on, the product faded first in my oily areas, as foundation normally does on me.

Overall, this product is not bad but is not anything wonderful. It's maybe worth a shot buying it and trying it out for yourself due to the cheap price. Let me know if your results differ from mines. Products can work differently on different people!

(Yes, my eyebrows need plucked/groomed)

My Rating:

An average foundation for an average day.

I hope this review helped!

Latest In Beauty Complexion Perfection Box February 2013

Hi all!
I really should stop with the monthly subscription boxes, but I can't help myself. I love getting little surprises every month and trying out new products and brands. www.latestinbeauty.com/ now offers a range of boxes called Latest In Beauty Collections - there are 6 to choose from, ranging from skincare to make-up to mother and baby. I chose the Complexion Perfection box because well.. you can never have enough make-up. The box costs £11.95 plus £2.95 p+p which makes it slightly more expensive than GlossyBox and  Birchbox. I honestly think the extra cost is worth it though. I was super impressed with my first box and I can't wait to get my next one! Wanna see what I got? Keep reading...

What's in my handbag? WARNING: Extremely messy!

I've finally gotten around to working on this blog post, so here it is! If you are going to do this tag, leave me your links in the comment section below. I'd love to see what everyone elses' is like compared to mines. I think mines is pretty messy. :( I don't clear out my bag very often as you can probably tell.

Here's my handbag first of all: Juicy Couture Purple Leopard Velour Daydreamer Bag.
I love it! I got it for Christmas just passed.

What's inside...

Bus tickets/receipts

Can you say too many lip products in one bag?

Random stuff (Maybe I could open up a lighter shop?)

Betsey Johnson purse + Nina by Nina Ricci perfume

Change, a lens from an old pair of glasses and I have absolutely no idea what those blue things are!
They're probably off some sort of toy of my daughter's. :')

Safe to say I cleaned + sorted out my hangbag after this!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Immodest

Illamasqua Immodest Lipstick is part of their brand new collection: Imperfection. It is described as a vivid pink with a matte finish.
As with all Illamasqua products I own, I found this packaging to be classy and sleek. It looks great on your vanity table!
It applied evenly and had amazing colour intensity. I'm pretty sure this is now the brightest pink lipstick I own. It settled into my lip lines a tiny bit, but this is probably because my lips are dry at the moment.
Damn you Winter weather!
Throughout the day it kept the same vibrancy, however I did experience a slight drying feeling. This is the only downside I came across. You can always apply a clear, moisturising balm on top to aid in this.
After eating and drinking, there was slight fading in the middle of the lips and the colour had worn off a bit.
Every lipstick I've ever worn has done this, so this is to be expected, and honestly doesn't bother me.
I felt like I would have to reapply about 4 or so hours after the first application.
I absolutely loved wearing this colour - it's gonna be perfect for Spring.
Check out Illamasqua's new collection here:
They're a brand I really admire and love. You should check them out if you haven't before.
I'm gonna buy one of their new speckled nail varnishes soon. They look so unique!

My Rating:

I can deal with the slight dryness for that colour pay-off!

Hope this review helped. :)

I've seen a few of these challenges going around, so I thought I'd do something simple for my first one. If you're unsure how these work, basically you just post an Instagram photo for each day. It's simple. :) If any of you guys are starting this too, be sure to leave me your URLs for your blog + Instagram account.
